Victor Marx declined our invitation on May 14\, 2026; read our full statement here. \nCandidates will receive equal time to answer questions on the major issues facing Colorado\, including the economy\, crime/public safety\, state budget/TABOR\, energy\, infrastructure\, and more. \nThe debate will be moderated by Shaun Boyd (CBS Colorado)\, Vince Bzdek (Denver Gazette)\, and Michael Brown (KOA). \nThe Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization that does not endorse or oppose any candidate or political party for public office. The University does not endorse any statement made at this event\, by any person or organization\, that advocates the election or defeat of any political candidate or party. DESCRIPTION:Join the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University for a Candidate Forum highlighting Colorado’s Seventh Congressional District candidates. \nAs the November mid-terms approach\, Colorado’s Seventh Congressional District is one of the few elections in the state to not have an incumbent running for office. This Candidate Forum seeks to give the candidates running for this seat an opportunity to interact with voters and discuss the issues that matter most to them. \nSpeakers: \n\nErik Aadland (R)\nBrittany Pettersen (D)*\n\n*Brittany Pettersen has not confirmed her participation in the event at this time. He became a Project Manager overseeing the onshore construction of the Leviathan Project in Dor\, Israel. \nHe is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point\, NY and received his master’s degree in Depth Pyschology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. \nAadland and his wife have three children. \n  \n  \n  \nAbout Brittany Pettersen \nBrittany Pettersen currently services as Colorado State Senator for District 22. Prior to her election to the Colorado Senate\, Pettersen work for New Era Colorado\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging young people in government.
