SUMMARY:Western Conservative Summit
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2026 Western Conservative Summit! \nThe Western Conservative Summit is one of the largest gatherings of conservatives outside of Washington\, D.C. We aim to educate Americans on the key issues facing the West and our nation\, equipping individuals to stand for faith\, family\, and freedom and training up the next generation of conservatives. \nAfter a two-year hiatus\, this milestone Summit will consider A New Birth of Freedom: Reigniting the American Dream. As we mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and look toward the next 250 years of American exceptionalism\, it is imperative that we take a moment to reflect\, recommit\, and rearticulate the intellectual foundations of American conservatism\, rooted in the self-evident truths of the Declaration: that our rights come from God\, not government; that among these are life\, liberty\, and the pursuit of happiness; and that government exists to secure these rights\, not to grant or redefine them. \nEvents begin Thursday\, July 30\, with the annual Armstrong Award Dinner\, followed by two full days of incredible conservative speakers\, workshops\, and networking opportunities. This is one event you will not want to miss. \nFor the latest event information\, including confirmed speakers\, schedule\, sponsorship opportunities\, and more\, please visit WesternConservativeSummit.com \nLearn More

SUMMARY:Faith and Freedom Speaker Series: Christianity and the Spirit of 1776
DESCRIPTION:Join the National Endowment for the Humanities and Centennial Institute for the Faith and Freedom Speaker Series: Christianity and the Spirit of 1776\, featuring Dr. Mark David Hall. \nDespite being the only Founder to help draft the Declaration and Resolves (1774)\, the Articles of Association (1774)\, the Declaration of Independence (1776)\, the Articles of Confederation (1777\, 1778)\, the Constitution (1787)\, and the Bill of Rights (1791)\, Roger Sherman is largely unknown today. Not merely present as these foundational documents were crafted\, Sherman served on the five-man committee that wrote the Declaration of Independence\, was among the most significant delegates to the Constitutional Convention\, and as a Representative and Senator in the new republic he played important roles in the drafting the Bill of Rights and debates over the proper scope of the national government’s power. This talk highlights Sherman’s contributions to the creation of the American republic and considers why such a significant founder is largely forgotten today. \nFaith and Freedom Series: Dr. Mark David Hall\nMonday\, September 21\, 2026\n7:00 pm – 8:30 pm MT\nLeprino Hall 170/172\nColorado Christian University\n8787 W.
