General Eisenhower also served as the President of Columbia College\, Chief of Staff of the Army\, and Supreme Allied Commander Europe. Grotelueschen\, PhD\, teaches strategic studies and serves as the Assistant Head of Academics as well as the Chief of Majors Academics in the Department of Military and Strategic Studies at the U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs\, Colorado. He previously served as Professor of History while holding a Senior Military Faculty position in the Department of History. \nDuring more than a decade of teaching at the Air Force Academy he has taught a wide range of courses covering strategy\, military thought\, history\, statesmanship\, and area studies. He has previously served as the chief of the Military History division\, the chair of the Academy’s African Area Studies Group\, and as the Academy’s Faculty Representative for the national Truman Scholarship program. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Academy Educator Award\, the McDermott Award for Research Excellence in the Humanities\, and the Orrison Award for cadet advising and mentoring. \nA 27 year Air Force veteran and former aircraft maintenance officer\, he worked directly with many different types of aircraft (A-10\, C-12\, C-17\, C-130\, E-3\, F-16\, KC-10\, KC-135\, RQ-4\, and U-2)\, and commanded the 380th Expeditionary Maintenance Operations Squadron at Al Dhafra Air Base\, UAE\, in 2004-2005. Dr Grotelueschen also served as the Deputy Chief of Engagement Integration in the Strategy\, Plans\, and Programs Directorate (A5) at US Air Forces Africa\, Ramstein AB\, Germany. He deployed as a United Nations peacekeeper in the United Nations Mission in Liberia\, where he worked in the mission’s Joint Logistics Operations Centre and helped plan and execute the successful national elections there in 2011. \nHe graduated with Academic Distinction from the USAF Academy\, earned an MA in Military and Diplomatic History from the University of Calgary\, and holds a PhD in History from Texas A&M University. He is the author or editor of many articles and books\, including The AEF Way of War: The American Army and Combat in World War I (Cambridge\, 2007)\, which has been selected repeatedly by multiple US Army Chiefs of Staff for their Professional Reading Lists. Most recently he authored Into the Fight: April-June 1918 for the US Army Center of Military History’s Campaigns of World War I series.

DESCRIPTION:What does Trump’s Presidency Portend for the Future of Conservatism in America? \nPresident Trump really upset the status quo in D.C. If court challenges go his way\, he will continue to do so for another 4 years\, but even if not\, his presidency has had a profound impact on America. First\, the restoration of constitutionalism in the courts\, where the words of the Constitution actually bind the branches of government rather than serving as so much putty to be molded for current\, avant-garde agendas. Second\, a serious (though not yet remotely successful) pushback against an unelected and unaccountable administrative state\, with the hope of restoring policy-making power to the elected legislative branch (and\, ultimately\, to the people). Third\, a restoration of a foreign policy that pursues America’s interests in the world rather than\, as had increasingly become the case\, some nebulous (or even nefarious) globalism. Those are advances that every constitutional conservative should welcome\, and should continue to work to advance. \nOne negative\, though\, and that is the disinclination of Trump to tackle the ever-expanding federal budget. The deficit itself is obscene\, but the accumulated debt is now taking on proportions so large as to likely enslave future generations of Americans. Second\, a serious (though not yet remotely successful) pushback against an unelected and unaccountable administrative state\, with the hope of restoring policy-making power to the elected legislative branch (and\, ultimately\, to the people). Third\, a restoration of a foreign policy that pursues America’s interests in the world rather than\, as had increasingly become the case\, some nebulous (or even nefarious) globalism. Those are advances that every constitutional conservative should welcome\, and should continue to work to advance. \nOne negative\, though\, and that is the disinclination of Trump to tackle the ever-expanding federal budget. The deficit itself is obscene\, but the accumulated debt is now taking on proportions so large as to likely enslave future generations of Americans. Dr. Mitsch received his master’s degree and doctorate in counseling psychology from Indiana State University. After receiving his doctorate in 1986\, he worked as a staff psychologist at Michigan Technological University. In 1988\, Dr. Mitsch moved with his family to Illinois and began practice at the Minirth-Meier Clinic of Wheaton. \nIn 1993\, he started his own counseling practice called Cornerstone Counseling Center and was in private practice until his departure to Promise Keepers in Colorado. He has had extensive experience in men’s ministry\, and caring ministries within the local church. He was an adjunct staff member at Christ Community Church of St. Charles\, Illinois\, where he developed Harbor Ministries\, a recovery ministry for hurting and struggling people in the church. \nDr. Mitsch has used his 30 years of experience in working with missionaries from around the world. His work with mission agencies includes WorldVenture and The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM). As a result\, he has had the opportunity to work with over 200 missionary families\, both on the field as well as those on home assignment. \nDr. Mitsch has been a guest speaker on several radio programs\, including the Minirth-Meier Clinic’s (now New Life Clinic) daily radio program. He has also enjoyed numerous speaking engagements at area churches as well as professional organizations and businesses. He has authored five books including his last book entitled\, Nurturing Your Child’s Potential\, and his best-selling book\, Grieving the Loss of Someone You Love\, selling over 300\,000 copies worldwide. He was a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counseling and is a licensed psychologist in Colorado. \nDr. Mitsch currently serves as the Chair for the Department of Psychology and was recently promoted to professor of psychology at CCU. He has been married to Linda for 39 years and they are blessed to have four daughters\, and two grandchildren. The Mitsches live in the Denver area.

Dr. Parker trained as a developmental biologist and neuroscientist in preparation for working in academic research\, where he studied the development of the vertebrate nervous system. From there he transitioned into the biotech industry where he served as a director of the technical service department\, oversaw both internal production and external production\, and directed a research and development team. He has always had a passion for teaching and was blessed to join the CCU faculty in 2011 as an associate professor of biology. Most recently\, Dr. Parker has been integral in revamping the curriculum and increasing the enrollment in CCU’s Science program\, developing the new Industrial and Systems Engineering program\, and launching the newly formed School of Science and Engineering. His wife is a cardiovascular registered nurse pursing her nurse practitioner degree. Together they have three sons.

From there he transitioned into the biotech industry where he served as a director of the technical service department\, oversaw both internal production and external production\, and directed a research and development team. He has always had a passion for teaching and was blessed to join the CCU faculty in 2011 as an associate professor of biology. Most recently\, Dr. Parker has been integral in revamping the curriculum and increasing the enrollment in CCU’s Science program\, developing the new Industrial and Systems Engineering program\, and launching the newly formed School of Science and Engineering. His wife is a cardiovascular registered nurse pursing her nurse practitioner degree. Together they have three sons.
