SUMMARY:Issue Monday: Suicide by Doctor
DESCRIPTION:The Centennial Institute is hosting a physician-assisted suicide policy discussion with Carrie Earll\, Carrie Ann Lucas\, and Michael Norton. \nThis legislative session again explored allowing doctor-assisted suicide to be legal in Colorado. Fortunately\, both Democrats and Republicans prevented this from happening. Unfortunately\, the issue continues to arise across the country with more and more states including California making this legal. Join us for an important policy discussion to understand why if such a measure became law\, it would invert the doctor’s time-honored role from the sacred duty of sustaining life to the ghoulish power of terminating it. \nLeading the discussion will be Carrie Earll\, Vice President of Government and Public Policy at Focus on the Family\, Carrie Ann Lucas\,  J.D.\, CWLS\, Founder and Executive Director of Disabled Parents Rights\, and Michael J. Norton\, J.D.\, President-General Counsel of the Colorado Freedom Institute. \nSpeakers: \n \nRSVP Today\nAdmission is free and all are welcome\, but reservations are required. Complete the RSVP form below or call 303-963-3424 to reserve your space. \nParking for Leprino Hall is located in the shared parking lot on the West side of campus. If entering from Alameda\, follow the drive around campus to the West side. If entering from Garrison\, the parking lot is near the entrance. \n\nOnline Form – CI Issue Monday – April

SUMMARY:Issue Monday: Doing Immigration Right
DESCRIPTION:Amid the controversy about how to treat the millions who have come to America illegally\, there is a “forgotten majority” of 30 million who have come legally\, and millions more patiently waiting their turn to bring additional economic productivity and creativity here as immigrants. Current law disserves them and all of us. Doing immigration right means doing it by the conservative principles of equality\, fairness\, free markets\, and rule of law. \nJoin us for a stimulating panel on how to begin\, chaired by Centennial Fellow Helen Raleigh with radio host Randy Corporon\, reform advocate Linda Chavez\, and attorney Anders Ingemarson. \nRSVP Today\nAdmission is free and all are welcome\, but reservations are required. Complete the RSVP form below or call 303-963-3424 to reserve your space. \nCCU’s new academic building\, Leprino Hall\, is located near the Garrison Street entrance to our Lakewood Campus. \nLoading… \n
