SUMMARY:Distinguished Lecture Series: Antifa: Stories from Inside the Black Bloc
DESCRIPTION:For our October Distinguished Lecture Series\, Jack Posobiec will be discussing his new book The Antifa: Stories from Inside the Black Bloc. \nFew in the media have followed Antifa more closely – and have the scars to prove it – than journalist Jack Posobiec. \nFrom infiltrating their 2016 meetings where they planned their attack on Trump’s inauguration to going undercover in Seattle’s CHAZ in 2020\, Posobiec has never backed down from exposing the true nature of Antifa. \nPosobiec will discuss the secret history of this radical anarchist group while integrating his personal encounters with some of its most hardcore and violent members. While few Americans were aware of Antifa’s existence until recently\, it is actually part of a violent revolutionary tradition that dates back more than a hundred years. And\, like its predecessors\, it is driven by an overriding aim: the overthrow of the existing political order and capitalism\, and replacing it with a communist state. \nAntifa saw and seized its chance in 2020. Because it was not brought to heel – indeed\, was encouraged in its violent mayhem by sympathetic city and state governments – it now looms as a greater threat than ever before. \nDistinguished Lecture Series: The Antifa: Stories from Inside the Black Bloc\nJack Posobiec\nMonday\, October 18\, 2021\n7:00pm – 8:30pm MT\nAnschutz Great Room\nColorado Christian University\n8787 W. Posobiec is a veteran intelligence officer of the United States Navy with multiple deployments\, including Guantanamo Bay and East Asia. At Guantanamo Bay\, Posobiec served as a HUMINT (human intelligence) analyst in the interrogation cell. In 2014\, he joined the Office of Naval Intelligence as an officer at the Kennedy Irregular Warfare Center which provided intelligence to Navy Special Warfare and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. \nPosobiec completed his final deployment in 2016 as the Intelligence Director for Navy Expeditionary Forces Command Pacific – Task Force 75. Task Force 75 provides expeditionary intelligence throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region as directed by 7th Fleet Commander. \nPosobiec has written three non-fiction books: Citizens for Trump: The Inside Story of the People’s Movement to Take Back America; 4D Warfare: A Doctrine for a New Generation of Politics; and Antifa: Inside the Black Bloc. Posobiec’s life was the inspiration for the graphic novel ‘Agent Poso’ by Chuck Dixon and Brett Smith. \nAfter graduating from Temple University\, Posobiec spent 2 years in China working in international business and learning to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese. Originally from the Philadelphia area\, Posobiec now resides in Washington\, D.C. with his wife\, Tanya\, and their two sons. \nOnline Form – DL – Jack Posobiec – 10.18.21 \nPowered by Formstack
