SUMMARY:The 1916 Project Screening & Discussion
DESCRIPTION:Join the Centennial Institute and CCU for Life for a screening of Seth Gruber’s new documentary\, The 1916 Project\, followed by a discussion about the film’s main themes with AJ Hurley\, national organizer of outreach for The White Rose Resistance. \nThe 1916 Project is a powerful documentary that uncovers the disturbing legacy of Margaret Sanger\, the founder of Planned Parenthood\, and her deep ties to the eugenics movement (a harmful pseudoscientific belief aimed at “improving” humanity by controlling who could reproduce. This ideology targeted marginalized groups—especially people of color\, the poor\, and those with disabilities—justifying horrific policies like forced sterilizations and treating human lives as disposable). Through compelling historical research and expert analysis\, the film reveals how Sanger’s racist and elitist ideologies have shaped the modern cultural landscape. From the promotion of abortion to the breakdown of family structures and the rise of gender confusion\, The 1916 Project exposes the enduring impact of her influence\, particularly on communities of color. The film serves as a call to action for those seeking to understand the origins of America’s moral decline and the forces at play in today’s culture war. \nTHIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. \nThe 1916 Project Screening & Discussion\nWednesday\, April 9\, 2025\n6:00 pm – 8:30 pm MT\nFran & Larry Donnithorne Great Hall; Anschutz Student Center\nColorado Christian University\n8787 W. Alameda Ave.\nLakewood\, CO 80226 \nAbout AJ Hurley \n \nAJ Hurley is a fiery torchbearer of the pro-life movement. As a national speaker\, activist\, and leader in the fight against the culture of death\, AJ is an unrelenting force bringing change to America. AJ made national news when he and a group of activists exposed a box of unborn babies in Washington\, DC\, on March 25\, 2023\, outside of an abortion clinic. He co-founded the #JusticeForTheFive campaign to highlight late-term abortion and spent years uncovering a fetal organ trafficking ring funded by taxpayer money. Before becoming a full-time activist\, AJ spent eight years as a Neonatal Respiratory Care Practitioner\, dedicating himself to saving the lives of the most vulnerable patients. This experience fueled his passion to protect unborn children. AJ has worked as the National Director of Activism at Live Action and Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust. He now serves as the national organizer of outreach for The White Rose Resistance\, where he aims to train and mobilize Christians nationwide to combat child killing.
