2022 Colorado Legislative Scorecard

The 2022 Legislative Session at the Colorado Capitol proved to be one of the most challenging sessions to date; however, Christian conservatives heeded the call to boldly stand for their principles. In this historic year, Colorado legislators led one of the longest filibusters in state history against the Reproductive Health Equity Act. The Centennial Institute and Colorado Christian University proudly sent countless students to testify on the issues they most care about, specifically the sanctity of life. While this legislative session saw many anti-biblical, anti-Christian policies signed into law, it also demonstrated that people will fearlessly defend their principles, no matter the odds against them.

The Centennial Institute’s goal is to promote the strategic priorities of Colorado Christian University within the public square. These strategic priorities include the support of traditional family values, sanctity of life, compassion for the poor, biblical view of human nature, limited government, personal freedom, free markets, natural law, original intent of the Constitution, and Western civilization.

The Faith, Family, and Freedom Award is bestowed upon Colorado legislators who have a proven track record from the preceding legislative session of advocating for conservative policies and standing for faith, family, and freedom at the Colorado Capitol.

2022 Faith, Family, and Freedom Award winners from the Colorado State Senate include John Cooke, Bob Gardner, Dennis Hisey, Christ Holbert, Barbara Kirkmeyer, Larry Liston, Paul Lundeen, Kevin Priola, Bob Rankin, Ray Scott, Cleave Simpson, Jim Smallwood, Jerry Sonnenberg, and Rob Woodward.

2022 Faith, Family, and Freedom Award winners from the Colorado House of Representatives include Mark Baisley, Rod Bockenfield, Mary Bradfield, Terri Carver, Marc Catlin, Tim Geitner, Ron Hanks, Richard Holtorf, Colin Larson, Stephanie Luck, Mike Lynch, Hugh McKean, Patrick Neville, Rod Pelton, Andres Pico, Kim Ransom, Janice Rich, Shane Sandridge, Matt Soper, Tonya Van Beber, Kevin Van Winkle, Perry Will, Dave Williams, and Dan Woog.

We thank the legislators listed above for their commitment to advancing faith, family, and freedom for all Coloradans.
