On April 6, 2025, the Colorado House of Representatives passed a radical piece of legislation aimed at defining deadnaming and misgendering as discriminatory acts that can be utilized by the state in child custody cases to remove children from their parents. This bill would set a dangerous precedent, violating the parental rights and religious liberty of Coloradans across the state. The nation is now closely watching Colorado to see just how far the state is willing to go on this issue.
