Do you support religious and artistic freedom?
Bring your family and friends and join us outside the Colorado Civil Rights Commission to support Lakewood cake artist Jack Phillips, whom the State of Colorado is targeting yet again.
Who is Jack and what happened?
Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, is facing another round of harassment for simply running his business according to his faith. After Jack defended himself all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court and won, he thought Colorado’s hostility toward his faith was over. He was wrong. Colorado doubled-down on its hostility toward Jack’s religious beliefs by deciding to target him again for living out his faith, this time for politely declining a request to create a custom cake celebrating a gender transition from male to female.
Didn’t Jack just win at the U.S. Supreme Court? Yes! The Court ruled 7-2, finding that Colorado wrongly prevented Jack from living out his faith in the marketplace.
What’s at Stake? The First Amendment promises that every American is free to peacefully live and work consistently with their beliefs. Jack is simply asking that these cherished freedoms be preserved—not only for him but also for others.
