The theme of this year’s National Day of Prayer is “Pray God’s Glory Across the Earth.” It’s taken from Habakkuk 2:14 which reads, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
