CCU cheers overturning of Roe v. Wade
LAKEWOOD, Co. — The Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University releases the following statements on the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, which overturned Roe v. Wade:
Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute:
“‘The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Caseyare overruled.’ Some of the sweetest words uttered in American history. Today is a historic day of celebration. We cheer the overturning of Roe v. Wade. America has lost over 60 million lives due to Roe v. Wade. This is an important step forward, but the work in Colorado will be an uphill battle. Pro-abortionists have poured millions of dollars into this state for the ability to murder innocent children. Now more than ever, Coloradans must advocate for the right to life.”
Dr. Donald Sweeting, president of Colorado Christian University:
“I believe CCU is the most pro-life university in America with a strategic priority to impact our culture in support of the sanctity of life. We have sent hundreds of students to the March for Life over the years to encourage the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Upon this historic moment, we thank God for his faithfulness to our nation.”
Daria Nichols, student president of CCU for Life:
“We thank God for this historic overturning of a ruling that has cost over 63 million lives. We remember them as we continue to fight in our states until every woman and family is supported, and every life is treated with the dignity given to them by their Creator.”
