Centennial Institute: CO Sens. Gardner and Bennet must confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to US Supreme Court
LAKEWOOD, Col. — The Centennial Institute, Colorado Christian University’s public policy think tank, calls Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and Cory Gardner to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court. Judge Barrett has previously been confirmed by both Democratic and Republican Senators and has demonstrated steadfast commitment to America and an originalist interpretation of its founding documents.
Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute, has made the following statement in support of Judge Barrett:
“After days of hearings, it is very clear that Judge Amy Coney Barrett is qualified to serve as a Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. She understands the original intent of the Constitution in limiting the power of the judiciary. The Supreme Court has become far too political. It’s past time we returned to the country’s founding principles that the U.S. Supreme Court interpret laws, not draft laws. I strongly urge Senators Michael Bennet and Cory Gardner to support Amy Coney Barrett, a uniquely qualified mother, scholar, and judge.”
