Colorado Christian University trademarks ‘Pro-Life U™’
LAKEWOOD, Col. — The Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University (CCU) is excited to announce that the university has registered “Pro-Life U™” as a trade name with the Colorado Secretary of State and has submitted it as a federally registered trademark (pending).
On the eve of the 2023 March for Life in Washington, D.C., the move demonstrates CCU’s and the Centennial Institute’s strong commitment to the sanctity of life and the biblical teaching that every life is created by God with intrinsic value. For 17 years, it has been a strategic priority of the university to impact culture in support of the sanctity of life.
“Colorado Christian University is training up the pro-life leaders our country desperately needs,” said Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute. “We are proud of our commitment to the sanctity of life, and our strong pro-life reputation makes us just as easily recognizable as Pro-Life U.”
CCU for Life is one of the largest and most active student ministries on campus, having been named the top student club of the year. Each year, dozens of CCU students travel to the national March for Life to rally in support of the sanctity of life and attend training to better serve their communities. On January 20, 2023, 30 students will once again rally in the nation’s capital to fight for the rights of the pre-born.
“Many today have a big justice blind spot — overlooking the dignity of the child in the womb. Anytime in human history that we’ve denied personhood to a class of human beings, we’ve looked back and regretted it. It will be no different with abortion. This is the biggest human rights issue of our time,” said Dr. Donald Sweeting, chancellor of Colorado Christian University.
The Centennial Institute advocates for the pre-born and public policy that leads to thriving lives for all humans, trains students to be pro-life leaders, and stands against policies such as doctor-assisted suicide and illicit drug legalization that diminish human life. Pro-life speakers regularly visit the university campus and speak at the Western Conservative Summit.
The Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization that does not endorse or oppose any candidate or political party for public office.
