Dear Western Conservative Summit Attendees,

This message is very important. Please read in its entirety.

Friday morning’s events require special security considerations. The Denver Police are expecting protesters outside of the convention center. Our goal is to get you into the convention center as quickly and safely as possible in accordance with the convention center security, the Denver Police, and the Secret Service.

A few ground rules have been established:

  1. You cannot enter the convention center grounds without your Western Conservative Summit badge. The entire convention center will be locked down.
  2. Each individual will have a unique badge with your name printed on it. Your badge must match a government issued ID shown to police at the Western Conservative Summit.
  3. Tickets to the Friday morning Summit events cannot be purchased on Friday morning. We will close all new registrations on Thursday night (6/30) and reopen at 12pm on Friday (7/1). National Host Committee, Gold Pass, Silver Pass, Silver Day Pass – Friday, Shining City Scholars, and YCLC holders already have access to the Trump/Palin session on Friday morning.
  4. All attendees to the Summit will go through TSA level screening in order to enter the main ballroom. No backpacks, weapons, purses, or liquids will be allowed Friday morning.

Due to security logistics on Friday, we strongly recommend you pick up your summit badges at the Centennial Institute offices Wednesday (6/29) or Thursday (6/30). Having your badges with you Friday morning will make getting into the convention center much easier. The Centennial Institute offices will be open from 8am – 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Our address is 8787 W. Alameda Ave. Lakewood, CO 80226. Beckman Center.

On Friday morning, only those with summit badges will be allowed to park at the convention center parking garage. The garage entrance is off Speer Blvd between Stout and Champa Street. Denver Police will be guarding the parking lot and checking each car for summit badges. Once you park at the convention center, you will be directed into the convention center where your badge will be checked with your ID and you will proceed through magnetometer screening. Parking at the convention center garage does cost money. Please review the location and rates of the parking lot here.

If the convention center parking lot is full, proceed to park at the Hyatt Regency Hotel or find public parking near the Hyatt Regency Hotel. We will provide charter buses for summit attendees at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Ride the charter bus from the Hotel into a secure area at the convention center. Hyatt Regency Hotel address: 650 15th St, Denver, CO 80202. If you are staying at the Hotel the night before, ride the charter buses to the convention center.

If you don’t pick up your summit badge before Friday, you will be required to pick up your badge from the Hyatt Regency Hotel before entering the convention center. Directions to the Hyatt Regency Hotel are here. Upon picking up your badge, you can you can board buses to be driven to a secure location at the convention center. Badge pick-up on Friday morning at the Hyatt Regency Hotel will begin at 6am.

The doors at the convention center are expected to open to Summit attendees at 7:30am on Friday. Due to the popularity of the event and necessary security measures, we recommend you arrive as early as possible. If you show up at the convention center with no badge or no ID, you will not be granted access to the Summit.

Bottom line, you can make the process very easy by picking up your badges on Wednesday or Thursday, arriving early on Friday, and parking in Convention Center garage parking.
