Compassion for the Poor

We believe in the importance of compassion and charity towards the poor while honoring their God-given dignity and worth. Throughout the Bible, Christians are called to show compassion for those in need and give of their own resources to provide for the needs of others. Assisting the poor is a duty of the individual and the church, not the government. We believe that it is best to ensure equality of opportunity as each person pursues their American dream, not equality of outcomes. Equality of opportunity and justice under the law are due to every person.
